What is “multinode” for the Walmart direct connection to Deliverr?
Multinode is the Walmart name for their functionality of automatically assigning orders to the "Seller Fulfilled" and "3PL Fulfilled" categories. Deliverr orders will be assigned to the 3PLFulfilled category. You will be able to use multiple warehouses or fulfillment providers, along with Deliverr, with our Walmart Direct connection, provided your integration and your other systems meet the requirements.
All new accounts are automatically activated under the Walmart multinode model.
What other systems are compatible with Walmart multi-node?
If you download orders directly from the Walmart Seller Center, just choose the "SellerFulfilled" orders when exporting. Do not download the "3PLFulfilled" orders for fulfillment, those are assigned to Deliverr.
If you are using a custom system to download orders through the Walmart API, you will need to make a small change to your API requests to exclude Deliverr orders. Documentation will be linked from here once Walmart publishes the details.
We are only aware of the below commercial systems that are currently verified as compatible:
- ShipStation is currently compatible
- ShippingEasy is currently compatible
We will continue to add additional verified systems to this list as we become aware of them.
If you are using an incompatible system and still want to take advantage of Deliverr for multi-node, you can manage your non-Deliverr orders by export/import of order files through Walmart Seller Central, as described here: https://sellerhelp.walmart.com/s/guide?article=000007160.
What are the requirements of multi-node?
- Connect to Deliverr via an activated Walmart Direct integration.
- Your Shipping column in Walmart API permissions for Deliverr must be set to “Full Access”.
- You have a fulfillment center, separate from Deliverr, fulfilling your Walmart.com orders while using Deliverr.
- Your other fulfillment center(s) and Walmart integrations that download orders follows the Walmart API guidelines to only pull orders not assigned to Deliverr for shipment. Technical documentation is available here - https://developer.walmart.com/#/apicenter/marketPlace/latest#getAllOrders
The Walmart sync button (which imported orders into Deliverr and updated Deliverr’s warehouse quantities in Walmart) will no longer exist for accounts connected to Walmart under the multi-node feature.
What happens to my account if I signed up with the Walmart Direct integration before multinode was available?
If your Walmart Sync is already activated: You will not switch over to multiple-warehouse mode until your Shipping permission is set to “FULL ACCESS” in Walmart.
Once full permissions are set, please notify our Support team, and we will then be able to move your account over to multi-node. After this has been completed, you will no longer see the Walmart Sync button in your inventory section.
If your Walmart Sync is currently deactivated: If you have previously signed up with Walmart Direct and your Walmart Sync is deactivated, once you activate Walmart Sync your account will not be switched to multi-node unless you also enable your Shipping permission to “FULL ACCESS”.
How do I check if another system is compatible with Walmart multinode?
You should ask the other system if they are set up to exclude downloading or acknowledging orders marked as "3PLFulfilled" by Walmart. If they are not, there is a risk of duplicate shipments and Deliverr-assigned orders that cannot be imported by Deliverr.
What happens if an incompatible system is used with Deliverr's integration?
Deliverr will attempt to detect if another system has taken orders intended for Deliverr. Deliverr cannot import such orders once another system has downloaded them. If found, Deliverr will notify you via email and set the Deliverr Fulfillment Center at Walmart as Inactive. This will prevent any more orders being assigned to Deliverr by Walmart.
You can then contact Deliverr support to determine how to resolve or, if you believe the issue is resolved, you can restore the flow of orders to Deliverr by marking the Deliverr FC as Active:
1. Log into Walmart Seller Center and go to this URL: https://seller.walmart.com/shipping-profile/fulfillment-center-setup
2. Click the pencil icon on the right side of the Deliverr FC:
3. Check the box to activate Deliverr and submit
4. Verify Active status
What if a single order contains items fulfilled by Deliverr and my own warehouse?
If the entire order cannot be fulfilled by Deliverr, Walmart will not send your order over to Deliverr at all. It will instead default to your own warehouse.
What if a buyer tries to place an order of A and B SKU, but Deliverr only has A and your own warehouse only has B. What happens in that scenario?
The order would default back to your seller-fulfilled warehouse only for SKU B, not Deliverr as the order would not be assigned to us. If this happens, then you would need to create a manual order in Deliverr for SKU A.
What rules decide if an order is assigned to Deliverr or Seller Fulfilled?
Walmart will apply the following logic when evaluating orders - if all the items in the order:
- Have inventory in the Deliverr node (warehouse) sufficient to fill the order
- No other warehouse has more inventory than Deliverr does
Then the order will be assigned to Deliverr through the 3PL Fulfilled order category. In all other cases, the order will be assigned to Seller Fulfilled.
